Flying Ace Ambush

Here's the WW1 Flying Ace, trapped in a new enemy territory.

As he navigates hiding places high and low, he ponders when the enemy had laid claim to the desert, much less how and why.

...As the rifles rattle on in the distance, the Ace keeps a lookout and keeps his wits.  He must be very careful deciding on what to do next... As well as which direction to go without getting shot!
