What?? First I find out that the original Poptropica can be restored to life better than new, and now it's forbidden?!
I'm afraid so, soldier. Legally, we cannot touch 'Poptropica Legacy' anymore. The creator of this reborn Poptropica recieved a cease-and-desist from General Sand, because as it turns out, Poptropica is just not ours to restore.
Aww... But I just found OUT about Poptropica Legacy... I just got hired as a blogger there, and now it's over? ...It CAN'T be over! We just got started- Especially me! -Wait- The Poptropica Legacy club just shared a petition! I could share this petition all OVER the place!
You can if you want to, but you must decide how far you want to go with this, and whether or not it's worth your effort in the long run. A petition doesn't always help, and even if it does, it's often just the first step in a long legal process. -I've been an attorney, so I should know! And I don't think you'd want to settle a child's computer game in COURT, of all places!
No way, I didn't even do anything illegal yet! -I was just the messenger for Legacy. I don't wanna get myself shot now! ...And even if we DID win, I have a CAREER to work towards! ...Maybe I wouldn't have had TIME to devote to a nonprofit reborn Poptropica anyway...

...And it's not like I haven't already had my fun in Poptropica while it lasted, I just thought... I just thought I could finally change the WORLD with something I was good at! ...I just wanted to prove to everyone that you can fight for something you love and come out on top, even if it seems so USELESS! ...Isn't that what the American Revolutionaries did? Give their all for a dream that EVERYONE thought was a total waste? ...The only difference is that THEIR fight was for a COUNTRY while mine was on some SILLY game you can't even make a living on! ...I COULDN'T EVEN WIN A FIGHT FOR THAT! I'VE FAILED MY ANCESTORS!...

Poor sweet baby! ...It's hard when your dreams fall like that! -But this isn't over. The best inventors, athletes, authors, leaders, and scientists in history ALL had crushed dreams and failures like yours that made their efforts feel like nothing. But they got back up and kept taking risks anyway, even though everyone else thought it was a waste.
Was it a waste, though? ...Would I really have been better off if I had just stopped playing Poptropica and never started making posts, videos, or websites around Poptropica in the FIRST place??
I don't think so. People LIKE your fandom! You're not like the thousands of people who write fanfics their whole lives. You're a doer. You create fan projects to gain life skills and experience! ...You've also connected with some really good friends through fandom. Many careers require such networking and collaboration to succeed!

I guess you're right... It really was a great 3-week experience while it lasted! I got to join a club full of professionals who actually knew how to reverse-engineer an interactive web-game that was once thought to be impossible to bring back! -I was so excited because I got to see the impossible BECOME possible! ...I guess I just needed to know that it CAN be done.
That's the spirit, soldier! -And who knows? Poptropica is owned by someone NOW, but someday... When Poptropica has run its course and belongs to no one, then perhaps your secret society finally CAN rebuild a new Poptropica and make their dreams come true.
Yes, someday... And until then, it's time to focus on real life! Just like Poptropica, the Movie:Â Â "Poptropica's the only life I got? No it isn't! You got THIS life!"
